Vos données, votre contrôle
Cyra est fondé sur un principe : vos données de santé vous appartiennent, et uniquement à vous.
The Truth
Why period-app privacy matters more than ever
Period-tracking apps collect some of the most intimate data imaginable — your menstrual cycle, sexual activity, symptoms, moods, and health conditions. In recent years, multiple popular period trackers have been caught sharing this data with third parties, including advertisers and data brokers, without meaningful consent.
In 2021, a major period-tracking app was fined for sharing users' intimate health data with analytics companies and social media platforms. Users were tracked, profiled, and their reproductive health data was monetized without their knowledge.
We built Cyra because this is unacceptable. Your body's data belongs to you — and only you. Full stop.
The Foundation
Our four privacy principles
Architecture hors-ligne d'abord
Cyra is built offline-first. Your cycle data, symptoms, and personal health information are stored locally on YOUR device. The app works fully without an internet connection — your data never needs to leave your phone to function.
This isn't just a feature — it's an architectural decision. We designed our ML prediction engine to run entirely on-device using Core ML (iOS) and TFLite (Android). Your data is processed where it lives: on your phone, under your control.
Souveraineté des données
You own your data completely. You can export all your data at any time in standard formats. You can delete all data permanently with one tap. We have no ability to access your personal health data — it's encrypted on your device with keys only you hold.
This matters especially in regions where women's reproductive data could be sensitive — whether for cultural, legal, or personal reasons. In conservative markets across South Asia, the Middle East, and beyond, we understand that health privacy is not a luxury — it's a right.
Nous ne vendons jamais vos données
We will never sell, share, or monetize your personal health data. Ever.
Our business model is based on premium app features — not data harvesting. We don't show ads. We don't share data with advertisers. We don't partner with data brokers. We don't sell “anonymized” datasets (which can often be re-identified).
When other apps say “we use your data to improve our service,” they often mean they aggregate and sell insights. When we say it, we mean our on-device ML model gets smarter for you — and only for you.
Chiffrement de bout en bout
If you choose to enable optional cloud backup, your data is encrypted end-to-end using AES-256-GCM encryption — the same standard used by banks, governments, and military systems. Only your device holds the decryption key.
Even Cyra's servers cannot read your data. If our servers were breached (though we design against this), attackers would find only encrypted blobs — meaningless without your personal key, which never leaves your device.
For The Curious
Technical implementation
For the technically curious — here's exactly how we protect your data.
| Feature | Implementation |
|---|---|
| Local Storage | SQLite database with SQLCipher 256-bit AES encryption |
| ML Inference | On-device only — Core ML (iOS) / TFLite (Android) |
| Cloud Backup | Optional, end-to-end encrypted (AES-256-GCM), zero-knowledge |
| Authentication | Biometric (Face ID / fingerprint) + device-local PIN |
| Analytics | Aggregate, anonymized, opt-in only. No personal data transmitted. |
| Data Deletion | Immediate, complete, cryptographically irreversible |
| Third-Party SDKs | Zero ad SDKs. Zero tracking SDKs. Minimal dependencies. |
| Third-Party Sharing | None. Zero. Never. Not even “anonymized.” |
| Compliance | GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA-aligned, India DPDP Act ready |
Your health data is sacred
In a world where your most personal health data is routinely harvested and sold, Cyra stands for something different. We believe the phone in your hand should be your safe space — especially for your health.
